The goal of the program
To comprehensively study the religious-philosophical, literary and linguistic heritage of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and his tariqat, to reveal his role in the formation of Islam in the Kazakh steppe, the formation of Kazakh statehood and national identity, and to determine its impact on the development of Turkic culture, literature and language to strengthen spiritual unity and intercultural dialogue in modern Kazakh society.
Description of scientific novelty and practical significance
Justification of scientific novelty:
despite the significant number of studies devoted to Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, many aspects of his heritage remain insufficiently studied. This program offers a comprehensive approach that combines methods of various humanities to comprehensively study the religious-philosophical, literary and linguistic heritage of Yasawi and his teachings.
Scientific background:
the project team has a significant scientific background in the study of the history, philosophy, literature and language of the Turkic peoples, as well as Islamic studies and Sufism. The head of the Department of Kazakh Language, Professor of ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov, Sarekenova K.K., implemented and successfully completed a research project on the topic: AP14870245 "Linguocultural codes in the "Divan-i Hikmat" of Ahmed Yasavi". In addition, the concluded consortium agreement (Appendix 1) with the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies, the Institute for the Study of the Ulus of Jochi, as well as The Institute of Linguistics named after Akhmet Baitursunuly allows us to qualitatively strengthen the scientific background for the development of the program.
